The main function of an injection unit is to melt and inject the plastic material into a mold at high pressure, which has a cavity inside whose shape and size are identical to those of the part to be obtained. Making use of the cooling system implemented in the mold, the injected material is solidified to finally open it and finish with the extraction of the piece.
